Hi, I just bought a Toshiba satellite from best buy so I also got the Verizon broadband device for 2yrs so that I can make use of the discount on the final price. my problem is that I am on a tight budget and the device only allows me to use 3GB of data a month. In the city I live in there is free wifi that I could tap into cuz it works on my sisters laptop. Ive tried to connect to this free wifi network but I always get the error message saying to check my router. I am not using a router. Is the broadband device interfering with my connectivity or is it just that I need to boost my signal in order to connect to this public network? Since I am new to this I have even thought about buying a wireless router or modem but I thought that is all internal on the laptop I have. Can you give me any advice?

If you like to work with your laptop directly, you can choose our USB adapter with the antenna to receive the free WiFi,

Just need to install the CD-R then it will be worked with your laptop.
The problem when you receive the signal though the router, you might need more setup to make the router notice the wifi signal and transmit signal to you.
For this kind of problem I will suggest that you can contact with the router company to get more information.
Thank you very much.
