I have a Linksys model BEFW11S4 etherfast wireless access point & cable/DSL router w/4 port switch. I use my pc and wireless eeebook with it and it works great in the home. My granddaughter lives 1 ½ blocks away and I would like to have my wifi signal powerful enough so she can access it either by her pc or with a laptop. What do you suggest I need to purchase? It would be great if I could get both to work.

It will be two ways to go,
1. If there is more than one computer would like to working with internet, then you will need an AP to setup, you can choose below antenna set to setup both side.

2. If there is only one computer is going to receive the wireless then you can choose the USB adapter with high gain antenna to receive the signal from the transmit side, below is the link you can take look.

The antenna is the same you can choose the cable length to work with your case.
