I.m also on a 3 levels building with 5 apartments on each floor. I want to try to cover all apartments. I already have the router and a 500mW signal booster. Where would it be the best place to place the antenna, the roof? I can install it in the front of the building right in the middle of the third floor. What type of antenna should I use?

Regarding about your question,
You have 5 rooms in each floor, and total 3 levels, probably one antenna and one AP will be not enough.
We suggest that you need AP for each floor and every 2-3 rooms you need a ceiling mount antenna to cover the building.
