The software for the 500mW USB adapter + OMNI 8dBi + 5m cable package is not installing on my computer correctly. I have a Windows Vista 64 bit OS and it keeps telling me that I need a digitally signed driver. I first installed the CD, then plugged in the USB and it keeps telling me the same thing. Is that due to one of my security settings or what?

I tried installing just the driver that I downloaded from the realtek website. Upon completion of the install I got the message: Device installed successfully, but your device may not work properly. The device cannot start. (Code 10) Can you please walk me through step by step what I have to do to get the USB adapter to work. I've tried everything I can think of. Thanks.

I loaded the cd onto a thumb drive...then downloaded the files on my desktop as wifi link mentioned in their fix which are newer realtek file for the chipset RL8171 Wan chipset. I checked the file folder names on the copied files on the thumb drive against the new files. Then dumped the older files on the thumb drive and relaced them with the new files I downloaded on the desktop...I then removed the drivers from my system and started anew losding the software from the thumb drive to my Vista OS system. It's not as slick as the XP but works just fine...

The USB adapter does fit with the Vista system.
Would you mind just install the driver without the softwave, using only the Window Vista control panel to work with the USB adapter.
It might be solve your problem.
Thank you very much.

I downloaded the updated from the realtek website but it still didn't work. I plug the antenna into the USB and it doesn't even show up. I also got error code 10. I've been searching numerous websites and forums for a fix with no luck. One site said Realtek was working the issue and wouldn't have an update until October. Is it a compatability issue with VISTA? Would really like to know how to fix this since I spent $100 on an antenna that said it was compatible with VISTA.
