Author Jarman66 Posted time 2007-03-06 23:15:06
Contents I have the following equiptment: Can you tell me if my two locations that are 4 km apart share my internet connection from my transmitting site? Will this configuration below work well? Will I need a power booster on the receiving site?

Transmit location
1) 24DB Grid antenna
1) 15m LLC400 Cable
1) 500mW Fixed Power Booster
1) LinkSys WRV54G Wired / Wireless Router
Receiving Station
1) 24DB Grid Antenna
1) 3m LLC240 Cable
1) Dlink DWL-G710 AP/Repeater
1) Laptop with your USB wireless Adapter.

Please advise if anything else I can do to make this connection.

Regards

Contents You don.t really need the 500mW in the receive side, you can try the signal first, if not strong enough then get the other booster to make the signal stronger.

Thank you

Contents I already have the 500mW booster on the transmit side.

Are you saying that I will need another 500mW on the receive side?

Is the 500mW booster stong enough?

Regards,

Contents You might also need the booster to booster the signal, it will get better signal range.

Thank you
