Wifi hotspot to far away!!!!
Author Aaron Posted time 2009-09-22 02:12:44
Contents With my internet provider i have free hotspots and there is one about 1/4 mile away from my cabin. What can i do so i dont have to drive down the road to use my computer. I would like to mount it on my old tv antenna on my roof. It would be about 30 feet from my computer. My computer has a built in wifi. Please tell me what i would need to get the internet at my house. Thanks

Contents If the signal is not stronger enough the problem probably come from the transmit site.
It will be the signal is too weak also there are too many user are working with the same signal in the same time make the signal is not stable.

The best way to solve the problem will be make the signal more stronger from the tranmsit side.

Thank you very much.

Contents You can choose the USB adapter with high gain antenna to work with your case.

For about 1/4mile away, you can choose the Panel 16dBi antenna with the 30feet cable,

Below is the link for the USB adapter set with antenna,
