Standard antenna at router and Strong antenna at adapter.

If there is a standard 2dbi antenna at the router which cannot be changed, what is the best antenna I can get for my wireless adapter? The router is near, but it is between a few walls. Should I use a Grid or a Yagi? Thanks.

Regarding to your question,
If the antenna can not be change on your router probably you can.t use other antenna,
For your second question, for indoor, the GRID or YAGI antenna is not suggested. you can choose some indoor antenna to transmit the wireless signal.
